Is Man vs Wild real?

Man vs Wild has been under some scrutiny about faking or staging the show recently. There have been reports that Bear and his crew have been sleeping in a motel at night, and that they weren't actually filming on location 100% of the time. The Man vs Wild hoax has been addressed by Bear himself stating that, "they don't always tell the full story". He also goes on to say that in the upcoming season, "we’re determined to make all new shows more inclusive of the crew and their role."
I encourage you to read one of Bear's books if you think the show is staged. Or better yet, contact the British Special Forces if you think the man is a fraud.
